This helps to build a mutually satisfying partnership, and ensures that the experience is enjoyable and inspiring for all involved.

Before commencing this process, we can assist with site selection and feasibility.

 

1. Initial consultation

The purpose of the initial consultation is to gain insight into your business, products, customers and staff requirements. We want to hear your ideas and vision for your new project, so that together we can create a retail space that is functional as well as visually pleasing, and is a great place to work and shop. Allow 1 – 2 hours for this consultation.

2. The brief

Following on from the initial consultation, we will go into more detailed discussions on what your requirements, preferences and needs are to ensure we are on the same page before the design process begins. You are encouraged to provide input into the design, as nobody knows your business better than yourself.  The brief can also include logo design.

 

3. Estimated calculation of hours

As it is in the best interest to our clients to minimise the hours spent on a project we endeavour to come up with a solution that works for both parties.

4. Concept design

During the design process we will keep in touch with you to ensure we are on the right track. We will present you with a concept sketch for your approval before completing the design.

5. Detailed working drawings

This stage includes the preparation of full working drawings and specifications for the purpose of applying for building consent. The aim of the working drawings is to ensure the project is carried out according to the approved design.

 

6. Application for consent if required

This has become a specialists job and  will be outsourced as rules and regulations have have become more complicated over the years  We will liaise with consent planners to establish what is required  and they will be in contact with you directly or through us.
